Sahu Community Embodies Hard Work and Honesty, Says Deputy CM Arun Saw

TFP Bureau, Raipur, April 30, 2025: Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Saw lauded the Sahu community for its dedication and integrity during the inauguration of a newly constructed social community building of the Tehsil Sahu Sangh at Chaukhadia Para, Rajnandgaon. Built at a cost of Rs 40 lakh, the new structure was formally inaugurated by Shri Saw, who also announced an additional Rs 15 lakh for the hall’s future expansion.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Deputy Chief Minister described the day as “historic and glorious,” praising the collective efforts that led to the completion of the facility. “This community hall stands as a support system for the needy and reflects the deep-rooted history of the Sahu Samaj,” he said. He also extended his greetings on the birth anniversary of Daanveer Bhamashah, a legendary figure known for his support to Maharana Pratap during the battle of Haldighati.

Highlighting Bhamashah’s patriotism and friendship, Shri Saw said, “When Maharana Pratap’s resources were exhausted, Bhamashah stepped forward with gold and silver to sustain the army. It is symbolic that this community center is being inaugurated today, reflecting the spirit of selfless service.”

He praised the Sahu community for its commitment to unity, progress, and honesty, noting that it continues to bring pride to Chhattisgarh and the nation. “The Sahu Samaj is not only preserving traditions but also leading in various fields with education and awareness,” he added.

Member of Parliament Shri Santosh Pandey, who was also present, described the building as a “Mangal Bhawan” and pledged Rs 10 lakh for the community. He emphasized the role of the building in furthering development initiatives for the Sahu Samaj.

Several dignitaries attended the event, including State Sahu Sangh President Shri Tahal Sahu, District President Shri Bhagwat Sahu, former presidents Dr. Narendra Sahu and Shri Kamal Kishore Sahu, Mayor Shri Madhusudan Yadav, District Panchayat Member Smt. Devkumari Sahu, former District Panchayat President Smt. Geeta Sahu, CEO of District Panchayat Ms. Suruchi Singh, and Municipal Commissioner Shri Atul Vishwakarma. The event witnessed participation from a large number of public representatives and members of the Sahu community.
