Chhattisgarh Sees Significant Jump in CareAge State Ranking

TFP Bureau, Raipur, May 1, 2025: Chhattisgarh has made impressive strides in the CareAge State Ranking 2025, climbing three places among the country’s large states. The state’s overall score has increased by 6.1 points, from 34.8 in 2023 to 40.9 this year, moving it from 14th to 11th position among 17 large states. This remarkable improvement reflects significant advancements in governance, social indicators, and economic strength.

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai hailed the achievement as the result of “Team Chhattisgarh’s” collective effort and dedication to public service. “We have prioritized transparency, service speed, and citizen participation. In the social sector, our focus has been on education, healthcare, and welfare for the underprivileged. At the same time, we have encouraged investment and job creation to strengthen the economy,” Sai said. He added that the CareAge report validates the state’s hard work, noting that Chhattisgarh’s upward trajectory on the national stage will continue, with the state aiming to become one of the country’s leading regions in the near future.

Notably, Chhattisgarh’s economic performance saw a remarkable surge, with the state jumping 5 places in the ranking, moving from 12th in 2023 to 7th in 2025. This growth is attributed to the state’s robust industrial policy, investment promotion, and sound financial management, including improved revenue collection and fiscal transparency.

The CareAge report also highlights a 14.2-point improvement in governance, driven by reforms in public service, law and order, and digital governance. In the social sector, Chhattisgarh made a remarkable gain of 17.8 points, reflecting its progress in literacy, education, healthcare, and efforts toward income equality.

Economic stability also showed strong signs of growth, with the state registering a 10-point increase in the economic sector, indicating a stable growth rate and expanding industrial activities. The 2025 evaluation methodology was based on 50 indicators, compared to 46 in 2023, underscoring the state’s all-around improvement in key sectors.

This upward shift positions Chhattisgarh as a rising force in India’s governance, social welfare, and economic development.
