High level meeting of regional transport officers and contracted companies regarding high security number plate

TFP Bureau, Raipur, May 04, 2025: In the seminar room of Indravati Bhawan located in Nava Raipur, a high level meeting was held yesterday with all the district level transport officers of the state including the contracted companies for high security number plate under the chairmanship of Transport Secretary cum Transport Commissioner Mr. S. Prakash and Additional Transport Commissioner Mr. D. Ravishankar. In the meeting, the problems faced by the public were discussed in detail and necessary guidelines were given for their resolution.

In the meeting, it was informed that there are more than 50 lakh registered vehicles in the state before 01 April 2019 and orders for about 03 lakh high security number plates have been received. To increase the speed of fitment, instructions were given to increase the number of fitment centers of contracted companies on the basis of number of vehicles at each district level and the district level transport officer in every district was instructed to form camp teams with the companies.

Under this, instructions have been given to form 05 teams in Raipur, 04 teams in Dhamtari, 04 teams in Mahasamund, 08 teams in Durg, 02 teams in Kawardha, 06 teams in Bilaspur, 03 teams in Janjgir Champa, 05 teams in Korba, 06 teams in Raigarh, 03 teams in Jashpur, 04 teams in Ambikapur, 03 teams in Korea, 03 teams in Jagdalpur, 02 teams in Dantewada, 03 teams in Kanker, 03 teams in Balodabazar and 02 teams each in Gariaband, Balod and Bemetara and 01 camp/mobile team each in other districts. These teams will camp at various places in the district and take orders for high security number plates as per the rules and numbers will be updated as per the requirement. It was directed in the meeting that high security number plates should be fitted compulsorily by the next day in remote districts and on the same day in other districts.

In the meeting, the contracted companies have also been directed to increase the number of machines making high security number plates in all the districts as per the number of vehicles so that high security number plates can be made as soon as possible and fitting can be done as soon as the plates reach the concerned place in the stipulated time. Apart from this, it was also directed that there should not be a waiting period of more than 15 days on ordering high security number plates, nodal officers should be appointed for each district and mobile numbers should be made public. Bringing speed and coordination in the works, the target of fitting high security number plates has been set within a time period of 03 months.

In the meeting, Shri U., from the Transport Department, was present. B.S Chauhan Joint Transport Commissioner, Mr. Manoj Dhruv Deputy Transport Commissioner, Mr. Krishna Kumar Patel Deputy Transport Commissioner, Mr. G.R. Devangan Joint Director Finance, Ms. Yogeshwari Verma Assistant Regional Transport Officer and all the senior Regional Transport Officers, Regional Transport Officers, District Transport Officers of the state and on behalf of the companies contracted for high security number plate, Mr. Biswajit Mukherjee Real Mazon and Mr. Ashok Sharma Ross Marta and other officers participated.
