Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Union Tourism Minister Offer New Year Prayers at Bhoramdeo Temple

TFP Bureau, Raipur, January 1, 2026: Marking the beginning of the New Year with prayers and spiritual observance, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, accompanied by Union Minister for Tourism and Culture Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, visited the historic Bhoramdeo Temple in Kabirdham district on Wednesday and offered special prayers.

The Chief Minister and the Union Minister performed traditional worship rituals and aarti inside the sanctum sanctorum of the ancient temple, seeking blessings for peace, prosperity and happiness in Chhattisgarh, as well as the overall welfare and well-being of the people of the state. The visit underscored the leaders’ commitment to beginning the New Year with prayers for harmony, development and collective progress.

The Bhoramdeo Temple, often referred to as the “Khajuraho of Chhattisgarh” for its architectural grandeur, holds immense cultural, historical and spiritual significance. The New Year visit by senior leaders highlighted the temple’s importance as a symbol of the state’s rich heritage and faith traditions.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the New Year is a time for renewed resolve and positive thinking. He prayed for continued progress of the state, social harmony, and happiness in every household, expressing hope that Chhattisgarh would move ahead on the path of inclusive development and prosperity in the coming year.

Union Tourism Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat also offered prayers for national unity, cultural preservation and the promotion of heritage tourism. He appreciated the historical and architectural value of the Bhoramdeo temple complex and its potential to attract tourists from across the country and abroad.

Several senior leaders and public representatives were present on the occasion, including Union Minister of State Shri Tokhan Sahu, Deputy Chief Ministers Shri Arun Sao and Shri Vijay Sharma, State Tourism Minister Shri Rajesh Agrawal, and local MLA Smt Bhawana Bohra. Distinguished citizens and officials also joined the visit.

The New Year prayers at Bhoramdeo set a spiritually uplifting tone for 2026, reflecting a blend of faith, culture and governance, and reinforcing the state leadership’s emphasis on public welfare, heritage conservation and holistic development.
