Surprise Visit Under Sushasan Tihar: CM Sai Lands in Sahaspur, Interacts Directly with Villagers

TFP Bureau, Raipur, May 6, 2025: In an unannounced move during the third phase of Sushasan Tihar 2025, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai surprised residents of Sahaspur village in Bemetara district by landing directly in their midst via helicopter. The impromptu visit, aimed at taking direct feedback from the ground, was met with astonishment and enthusiasm as villagers rushed out of their homes to greet the Chief Minister.

Welcomed with flower garlands and traditional chandan-aarti, CM Sai mingled with the locals and listened to their concerns in an informal Chaupal setting under the shade of a sprawling banyan tree. Sitting on a village cot, the Chief Minister interacted with residents about key government schemes including the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Nal Jal Yojana, paddy procurement and school education.

“I have come here to understand your problems directly,” said CM Sai. “Our government has completed just one and a half years and in that time, we’ve already fulfilled many of our promises—from approving 18 lakh new houses in our first cabinet meeting to clearing two years of pending bonuses for farmers. Paddy is now being procured at Rs 3,100 per quintal,” he added.

Local resident Poonam Sahu shared her experience of receiving financial assistance under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, saying the monthly support helps meet family and educational needs regularly.

Responding to public demands, the Chief Minister made several announcements for the development of Sahaspur. These include the construction of a new Higher Secondary School building, a 33 KV electric substation, and the beautification of the ancient Shiva and Hanuman temples—believed to be built by the Phani Nagavanshi kings in the 13th–14th century. CM Sai stated that the temple complex would be developed into a tourist destination and confirmed his intention to personally attend the Mahashivratri fair there.

Also present during the visit were MLA Shri Ishwar Sahu, Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Chief Secretary to the CM Shri Subodh Kumar Singh, and Secretary to the CM Shri P. Dayanand.

The visit marks a powerful moment in the ongoing Sushasan Tihar, underscoring the government’s commitment to grassroots governance and direct public engagement.
