31 Meritorious Children of Workers to Receive ₹2 Lakh Each from Chief Minister

TFP Bureau, Raipur, June 13, 2025: In a significant boost to the welfare of construction workers and their families, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai will present incentives of ₹2 lakh each to 31 meritorious students—children of registered workers who secured top 10 ranks in the Class 10th and 12th board examinations. The award ceremony, part of the Chief Minister Noni Babu Medhavi Shiksha Sahayata Yojana, will take place on June 15 at the New Circuit House, Raipur. Labour Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Devangan and Dr. Ram Pratap Singh, President of the Chhattisgarh Bhawan and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, will also be present.

Labour Minister Shri Devangan detailed that 26 students from Class 10 and 5 from Class 12 will each receive ₹2 lakh—split equally between a two-wheeler subsidy and a cash incentive. Alongside this, the welfare board will transfer over ₹19.71 crore directly into the bank accounts of 38,200 construction workers through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) under various welfare schemes.

  • Minimata Mahtari Jatan Yojana: ₹3.83 crore to 1,915 workers
  • Chief Minister Cycle Assistance Scheme: ₹10.33 lakh to 279 workers
  • Laborer Tool Assistance Scheme: ₹2.19 crore to 6,319 workers
  • Sewing Machine Assistance Scheme: ₹94,800 to 12 workers
  • Naunihal Scholarship Scheme: ₹96.17 lakh to 4,825 workers
  • Noni Babu Medhavi Education Assistance Scheme: ₹37.63 lakh to 155 workers
  • Construction Labor Longevity Assistance: ₹40,000 to 2 workers
  • Safety Equipment Assistance: ₹74.08 lakh to 4,939 workers
  • Sports Promotion Scheme for Workers’ Children: ₹50,000 to 1 worker
  • Didi E-Rickshaw Assistance Scheme: ₹7 lakh to 7 workers
  • Construction Shramik Death and Disability Assistance: ₹2.64 crore to 264 workers
  • Noni Empowerment Assistance Scheme: ₹4.97 crore to 2,486 workers
  • Shramik Sian Assistance Scheme: ₹74.40 lakh to 372 workers
  • Free Uniform and Book Copies Assistance: ₹2 crore to 15,066 workers
  • Construction Shramik Housing Assistance Scheme: ₹25 lakh to 25 workers
