TFP Bureau, Raipur, June 17, 2025: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today emphasized that ensuring safe and smooth road transport remains a top priority for the state government. In a program held at his residence office, he flagged off 48 new vehicles for the Transport Department’s flying squad, handing over the keys to departmental inspectors.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Sai said the addition of these vehicles will significantly strengthen efforts to reduce road accidents, improve traffic flow, and raise public awareness about traffic rules. “With these new government vehicles, the flying squad will be able to take prompt action against traffic violators, increasing efficiency and safety across the state,” he said. He also highlighted that the upgraded fleet will enable better monitoring even in remote areas, marking a milestone in the government’s road safety initiatives.
The Chief Minister urged citizens to always wear helmets and seat belts and follow traffic regulations diligently, stressing that public cooperation is essential to create a safe and disciplined road environment. He further appealed to drivers to avoid driving under the influence of alcohol, reinforcing the government’s commitment to saving lives on the roads.

MLA Shri Purandar Mishra, Chairman of Civil Supplies Corporation Shri Sanjay Srivastava, Transport Commissioner Shri S. Prakash, Additional Transport Commissioner Shri D. Ravishankar, along with officials and staff of the Transport Department, were present at the event.
