TFP Bureau, Raipur, June 20, 2025 — In a significant interaction with youth from Naxal-affected regions of Bijapur district, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai declared that Naxalism will be completely rooted out from Chhattisgarh by March 2026. Addressing a group of 96 young men and women from Niyyad Nella Nar Gram Panchayats, who visited the state capital Raipur for the first time, the Chief Minister spoke of a new chapter of peace and prosperity unfolding in Bastar.
“With willpower, sensitivity, and inclusive policies, we are witnessing a new transformation in Bastar,” said Chief Minister Sai during a cordial meeting at his residence. “The self-confidence and enthusiasm of Bastar’s youth is our biggest inspiration. Your participation will help build a new, vibrant Bastar.”
Highlighting the success of the ‘Niyad Nella Nar’ scheme, which is designed to integrate marginalized communities into the mainstream, the Chief Minister noted that villages are rapidly changing as youth gain access to education, employment, and self-reliance. “The government is determined to bring lasting peace to these regions. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has resolved that Naxalism will be eradicated by March 2026. Maoists are against development, but we are committed to removing every obstacle in Bastar’s progress,” he asserted.
Bastar’s Youth Emerge as Agents of Change
During the interaction, several youths shared their personal experiences and aspirations with the Chief Minister. “We want to transform our lives through education, sports, skill development, and service,” they said. “Bastar must change, and we are determined to be the drivers of that change.” Many credited the ‘Niyad Nella Nar’ initiative for giving them renewed hope and direction.
The Chief Minister emphasized Bastar’s rich natural beauty, fertile farmlands, cultural heritage, and tourism potential. He assured the youth that the government is actively working to strengthen irrigation, education, skill training, and sports infrastructure in the region. Events such as the Bastar Olympics and Bastar Pandum festivals, he said, are strong symbols of the region’s emerging identity rooted in peace, pride, and development.
“Bastar’s Soul Is Brimming with Courage and Self-Respect”
“Bastar has always been known for its bravery, patience, and dignity,” said CM Sai. “Now it is also becoming a symbol of development and prosperity. Our government is committed to creating opportunities for every young person — whether in education, skill-building, sports, or entrepreneurship.”
He encouraged the youth to embrace mainstream society and become active participants in building a stronger, safer, and more prosperous Bastar.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Director General of Police Shri Arun Dev Gautam, and other senior officials were also present during the interaction.
