TFP Bureau, Raipur, June 22, 2025: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah chaired a high-level review meeting on Naxalism in Raipur today, bringing together the DGPs, ADGPs, and senior officials from seven affected states — Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, and Odisha. The meeting focused on reviewing the ongoing operations and intensifying coordinated efforts to eliminate Naxalism.
During the meeting, Shri Shah praised the Chhattisgarh government, led by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and Deputy Chief Minister & Home Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, for their significant progress in the past 18 months. He noted that their leadership had revitalized previously stalled anti-Naxal efforts, injected fresh momentum into operations, consistently guided the campaign, and provided unwavering support to boost the morale of security forces.
Confidently reiterating the Centre’s commitment, the Home Minister declared that the country will be completely free of Naxalism by March 31, 2026. “With the bravery of our security personnel and the precision of our intelligence agencies, we will definitely achieve this goal,” he asserted.
In a strong message to the Naxals, Shri Shah stated that those who traditionally retreat during the rainy season will find no respite this year. “Security forces will relentlessly continue their operations even during the monsoon,” he said, signaling an unbroken offensive against insurgents.
Appealing to Naxals, particularly misguided youth, the Home Minister urged them to surrender and avail the government’s rehabilitation policies. “There can be no better opportunity than this to join the development journey of a new Chhattisgarh,” he said. He assured surrendered Naxals that the Central and State governments are committed to fulfilling all promises made under the surrender policy and will offer even greater support to help them reintegrate into mainstream society.
Shri Shah emphasized that by abandoning violence and joining the mainstream, these individuals would directly contribute to the ongoing progress and development of Chhattisgarh. He called upon all stakeholders to stay united in their efforts to completely uproot Naxalism from the country.
