TFP Bureau, Raipur, July 21, 2025: Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur, has earned a distinguished global honor by securing the 46th position worldwide in the 2025 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) under the Visionary Leadership category (B1).
Announced on July 10, 2025, this accolade highlights HNLU’s commitment to pioneering legal education, institutional innovation, and impactful leadership on the international stage. The WURI Rankings evaluated 4,866 innovation case submissions from 1,350 universities across the globe, judged by 203 academic leaders based on innovativeness, practical implementation, and societal impact. The competition saw a 70% surge in participation compared to the previous year, making HNLU’s achievement even more significant.
Prof. (Dr.) V.C. Vivekanandan, Vice Chancellor of HNLU, said, “The launch of our R-HaS (Research Hub and Spoke) initiative in 2023, comprising five Research Schools and 25 interdisciplinary Research Centres, has started delivering results. This global recognition will accelerate our vision and expand impactful research opportunities for faculty and students.”
Organized by IPS Switzerland and supported by the Hanseatic League of Universities, the WURI Rankings celebrate universities that foster bold, creative, and socially responsive educational models, emphasizing real-world value over traditional metrics.
