TFP Bureau, Bhavnagar, August 3, 2025: Union Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw held a significant ‘Viksit Bharat Samvad’ with traders, merchants, industrialists, and prominent citizens at Iskcon Fern in Bhavnagar. The event was also graced by Minister of Labour, Employment, Youth Affairs and Sports Dr. Mansukhbhai Mandaviya and Minister of State for Consumer Affairs Smt. Nimuben Bambhaniya.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Vaishnaw praised India’s economic resilience post-pandemic, noting that while many global economies slowed, India’s growth steadily accelerated. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India has become the world’s fourth-largest economy, valued at ₹331 lakh crore as of March 31, 2025.
The Minister spotlighted the Vande Bharat train as a fully indigenous, world-class marvel equipped with modern facilities, urging citizens to actively participate in building a ‘Developed India’. He also traced India’s transformation in electronics manufacturing, highlighting the country’s emergence as a $150 billion hub and a rising global leader in semiconductors.
Local industrialists raised infrastructure concerns, to which Shri Vaishnaw assured smooth future operations concerning Freight Train Receipts (FTR). He announced plans for a container port development in Bhavnagar and responded positively to calls for an IT park via STPI, initiating immediate steps toward approval.
Dr. Mansukhbhai Mandaviya, recalling Shri Vaishnaw’s longstanding ties to Bhavnagar, expressed gratitude for his visit and the platform to discuss regional growth aligned with India’s development goals.
Smt. Nimuben Bambhaniya thanked the Railway Minister for his efforts in addressing railway infrastructure improvements for Bhavnagar.
MLA Shri Jitubhai Vaghani welcomed guests at the start of the event. The session concluded with traders, industrialists, and community leaders honoring Shri Vaishnaw.
