CM Vishnu Deo Sai Celebrates Raksha Bandhan with Sisters and Women Journalists

TFP Bureau, Raipur/Jashpur, August 9, 2025: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai marked Raksha Bandhan with heartfelt interactions across the state, receiving rakhis from women journalists in Raipur and beneficiary sisters from various government schemes in his native Jashpur district.

At the Police Lines helipad in Raipur, women journalists tied rakhis on CM Sai’s wrist, wishing him a long and dedicated life in public service. Expressing gratitude for their affection and trust, he said Raksha Bandhan symbolises love, faith, and the sacred promise of mutual respect and protection. He extended greetings to all sisters in the state, wishing them happiness, health, and prosperity. “This sacred bond gives me strength to serve with greater sincerity and commitment,” he said.

Later, at the camp office in Bagiya village, the Chief Minister celebrated with beneficiary women of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Mahtari Vandan Yojana, along with Anganwadi workers, helpers, Mitanins, and members of Self-Help Groups. The women tied rakhis as a gesture of gratitude for welfare initiatives that have improved their lives.

CM Sai reaffirmed that the state government is committed to fulfilling every promise under Modi ji’s Guarantee, with ongoing development works across Jashpur. He announced that the district will soon have a medical college, nursing college, physiotherapy and horticulture colleges, a 200-bed hospital, and a new power plant at Harradand (Kunkuri) to boost electricity supply. “No obstacle will be allowed to hinder Jashpur’s progress,” he assured.

The celebrations drew participation from senior officials, public representatives, and large numbers of women beneficiaries. Sarguja Commissioner Narendra Dugga, IG Deepak Kumar Jha, District Panchayat CEO Abhishek Kumar, Shri Upendra Yadav, and Shri Sunil Gupta were among those present, making the occasion a blend of festive warmth and reaffirmed commitment to the state’s development and welfare.
