TFP Bureau, Raipur, June 29, 2025: In a touching moment during the inauguration of a Smart Classroom at Bagia High School in Kansabel block, Jashpur, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Saturday took a seat among Class III and IV students, engaging warmly with them as part of the Sampark Smart School–Smart Block Programme launch.
While interacting with the children, the Chief Minister asked third-grader Dolly Gupta her name and the name of her village. Smiling, he gently placed his hand on her head and said, “You must study well… and don’t spend too much time on the mobile.” He then encouraged all the students to stay focused on their studies and reduce screen time, earning cheerful nods from the young audience.
The Sampark Smart School initiative, being implemented in partnership with the Sampark Foundation, is set to transform primary education in Jashpur. As part of the project, Smart School kits and television sets are being provided to 50 government schools to improve classroom engagement and learning outcomes.
Approximately 3,200 students across the district are expected to directly benefit from the initiative, while 120 teachers will be trained in modern teaching methods and equipped with innovative educational tools. The objective is to raise the quality of government schools to a level that matches—or surpasses—private institutions.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Sai described the programme as a significant step towards educational reform. “Our goal is to improve children’s learning abilities and make the classroom experience more interactive and enjoyable. The Smart Schools, Smart Blocks initiative will help instil curiosity and scientific thinking in students while giving teachers the tools they need for effective, modern instruction,” he said.
The teaching materials and digital tools introduced under the programme are aligned with SCERT guidelines and the national NIPUN Bharat Mission, reflecting the government’s commitment to achieving foundational literacy and numeracy in early grades.
The launch event not only marked a technological leap in classroom teaching but also highlighted the human touch of a leader deeply connected to his roots — encouraging the youngest citizens of Chhattisgarh to learn with joy and discipline.
