CM Vishnu Deo Sai to Hoist National Flag in Raipur on Independence Day

TFP Bureau, Raipur, August 11, 2025: The Chhattisgarh government has announced the district-wise programme for the 79th Independence Day celebrations on August 15, with Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai leading the state-level function in the capital. CM Sai will hoist the national flag and take the salute at the ceremonial parade at Police Ground, Raipur, marking the occasion with patriotic fervour.

As per the General Administration Department’s schedule, Union Minister of State Shri Tokhan Sahu will hoist the flag at the Bastar district headquarters, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Saw will lead celebrations in Bilaspur, and Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma will preside over the ceremony in Durg.

In other districts, senior leaders will represent the state government. In Rajnandgaon, Speaker Dr. Raman Singh will officiate, while Minister of Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Shri Ramvichar Netam will do so in Surguja. Minister of Food Shri Dayaldas Baghel will lead the programme in Gariaband, Minister of Forests Shri Kedar Kashyap in Balod, Minister of Industry Shri Lakhan Lal Devangan in Korba, Minister of Health Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal in Jashpur, and Minister of Finance Shri O.P. Choudhary in Raigarh.

Minister of Women and Child Development Smt. Laxmi Rajwade will hoist the flag in Surajpur, Minister of Revenue Shri Tankram Verma in Janjgir-Champa, MP Shri Brijmohan Agrawal in Balodabazar, MP Shri Vijay Baghel in Bemetara, and MP Shri Santosh Pandey in Kawardha. MP Shri Chintamani Maharaj will lead the function in Balrampur, MP Smt. Rupkumari Chaoudhary in Mahasamund, MP Shri Radheshyam Rathiya in Sarangarh, MP Smt. Kamlesh Jangde in Sakti, MP Shri Mahesh Kashyap in Bijapur, MP Shri Bhojraj Nag in Kanker, and MP Shri Devendra Pratap Singh in Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai.

At other district headquarters, MLA Shri Punnulal Mohle will officiate in Mungeli, MLA Shri Dharamlal Kaushik in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, MLA Shri Amar Agrawal in Korea, MLA Shri Ajay Chandrakar in Dhamtari, MLA Smt. Renuka Singh in Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur, MLA Sushri Lata Usendi in Kondagaon, MLA Shri Vikram Usendi in Narayanpur, MLA Shri Rajesh Munat in Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki, MLA Shri Kiran Deo in Dantewada, and MLA Shri Dharmjeet Singh in Sukma.

The state government has urged citizens to participate in the celebrations, which will feature patriotic performances, cultural programmes, and tributes to the nation’s freedom fighters across all districts.
