Shaheed Vinod Singh Kaushik Meritorious Students Felicitation Ceremony Held in Bilaspur

TFP Bureau, Bilaspur, August 12, 2025 – Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai honoured more than 3,000 meritorious students at the Shaheed Vinod Singh Kaushik Meritorious Students Felicitation Ceremony held at Guru Ghasidas University. The CM lauded the hard work and dedication of the young achievers, calling them the future of the state and the nation, and announced that Sipat–Nawadih Chowk will be named in memory of Shaheed Vinod Singh Kaushik.

Paying tribute to the martyr, who was killed in action against Maoists in Narayanpur in 2018, CM Sai said the trust established in his name was doing commendable work in keeping his legacy alive by recognising student excellence. He highlighted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Chhattisgarh is on track to eradicate Naxalism by March 2026, noting recent surrenders of high-profile insurgents.

Addressing the gathering, CM Sai urged students to set clear goals, remain committed, and maintain a positive mindset, emphasising that their achievements are a product not only of their own efforts but also of the support from their families, teachers, and society. He assured that with Chhattisgarh entering its silver jubilee year, students no longer need to leave the state for quality higher education as top institutions are now available locally.

Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, who also paid floral tribute to the martyr, encouraged students to banish ‘depression’ and ‘despair’ from their lives, stressing that optimism and perseverance are key to success. Several MLAs, public representatives, and a large number of students attended the event, which has been held annually for the past three years in honour of Shaheed Vinod Singh Kaushik.
