TFP Bureau, Raipur, September 3, 2025: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday launched a massive crackdown across Chhattisgarh, conducting raids at 18 locations linked to prominent businessmen, contractors and middlemen in connection with the alleged Seed Corporation scam.
Teams of ED officials, backed by armed CRPF personnel, carried out simultaneous searches in Raipur, Durg and Bilaspur. In the capital, a major action took place at the residence of businessman Vinay Garg in Shankar Nagar, where eight ED officers along with security forces examined financial records and seized documents. Multiple other premises in Raipur are also under the scanner.
In Bhilai-3, ED raided the residence of Shivkumar Modi, Director of Anna Bhoomi Green Tech Pvt Ltd, a company engaged in drip irrigation, chain-link fencing, solar pumps and agricultural infrastructure projects. More than six officials are scrutinizing documents, while CRPF has been deployed outside the premises to ensure security during the operation. Investigators are probing suspected financial irregularities linked to the company’s projects.
Meanwhile, searches were also reported in Vivekanand Colony under Vaishali Nagar police station limits, in Durg dist. where teams are verifying transactions and possible links to the Seed Corporation case.
This is the latest in a series of actions by the Enforcement Directorate in Chhattisgarh, where the agency has been actively pursuing multiple cases of alleged corruption and money laundering. Sources indicate that today’s raids are aimed at unearthing the money trail in the Seed Corporation scam and identifying the network of vendors and middlemen involved.
The operations are ongoing, and more details are expected as scrutiny of seized documents continues.
