TFP Bureau, Raipur, September 8, 2025:Chhattisgarh is set to take another step towards promoting renewable energy as the Solar Energy Awareness Campaign and Promotion Ceremony will be held today at Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium, Raipur. The event, scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, who will attend as the chief guest.
Forest and Climate Change Minister Kedar Kashyap will preside over the programme, while several dignitaries including Raipur MP Brijmohan Agarwal, MLAs Rajesh Munat, Sunil Soni, Purandar Mishra, and Motilal Sahu are expected to join as special guests.
The campaign seeks to highlight the growing importance of solar energy in addressing climate change, reducing dependence on fossil fuels, and ensuring sustainable development. Officials said the event will not only create awareness among citizens but also encourage wider adoption of solar energy solutions in households, industries, and government institutions.
Energy Secretary Dr. Rohit Yadav has urged citizens, energy experts, entrepreneurs, and stakeholders to participate in the programme. “This campaign will serve as a platform to connect policy makers, industry leaders, and the public, encouraging the shift towards renewable energy. It marks a strong step in favor of clean energy for Chhattisgarh,” he said.
The state government expects the awareness drive to inspire individuals and communities to embrace solar technology, from rooftop solar panels to large-scale projects. The programme is being viewed as a milestone in the state’s journey toward becoming a hub of renewable energy and contributing to India’s larger goal of achieving energy security and sustainability.
By launching this initiative during Chhattisgarh’s Silver Jubilee year, the government hopes to set a new benchmark in climate-conscious governance and pave the way for a green energy revolution in the state.
