Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai launches development projects worth ₹40.25 crore at tribal community programme

TFP Bureau,December 29, 2025: Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai on Sunday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 18 development works with a total outlay of ₹40.25 crore at the annual function of the All India Tribal Kanwar Samaj Development Committee held at Dhudhrudand village in the Kansabel development block. The projects are aimed at strengthening basic infrastructure, improving connectivity and enhancing public facilities in tribal-dominated areas of Jashpur district.

Of the total works, nine projects constructed at a cost of ₹13.56 crore were inaugurated, while foundation stones were laid for nine new works estimated at ₹26.68 crore. The event was attended by MLA Smt. Gomati Sai, former Member of Parliament Shri Nand Kumar Sai, former Parliamentary Secretary Shri Bharat Sai, District Panchayat Member Shri Gend Bihari Singh and office bearers of the Kanwar community.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the state government is committed to ensuring balanced and inclusive development, with special focus on tribal regions. He said investments in roads, hostels and civic infrastructure would not only improve living standards but also open up new opportunities for education, employment and economic activity in remote areas.

Among the major projects for which foundation stones were laid in the Pathalgaon development block are a 100-seater boys’ hostel building at Amatoli village with an estimated cost of ₹2.71 crore, a road from Pangsuwa Darrapara to the village panchayat at ₹3.04 crore, and an approach road from Saraitola to Barpara costing ₹2.35 crore. Other sanctioned works include a road from Palidih Basti to Lakhjhar at ₹3.06 crore, approach roads from Karrajor to Barpara and from Dhanupara to Kadro with a combined cost of ₹6.34 crore, and an approach road from Bandhanpur to Chhatasarai at ₹2.73 crore.

Additional foundation stone projects include an approach road from the paved road near Surajgarh Middle School to Ludeg Gothan at ₹2.16 crore, an approach road from Tildega Atal Chowk to Amakani at ₹2.01 crore, and the construction of a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) at a cost of ₹2.25 crore.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated several completed works in the Kansabel development block. These include a road from Koranga settlement to Gyartoli costing ₹2.63 crore, a road from Chhuritoli to Alangijhar at ₹1.07 crore, and a road from Karanjtoli via Dadidipa to Chakradhar Nagar constructed at ₹1.97 crore. Other inaugurated projects include a road from Koranga settlement to Khairwartoli at ₹1.72 crore, a road from Muskuti to the main road at ₹4.28 crore, and a road from Karanjtoli to Rajauti costing ₹3 crore.

In addition, a road from Ghoghra Chowk to Farsatoli Main Road built at ₹1.23 crore, a cement concrete road in Naktimunda costing ₹10 lakh, and the Sub-Divisional Officer (Police) office building at Patthalgaon constructed at ₹54.01 lakh were also inaugurated.

Officials said the projects would significantly improve road connectivity between villages, facilitate access to education through new hostel facilities, and strengthen administrative and civic infrastructure in the region. The Chief Minister reaffirmed that the state government would continue to prioritise development works in tribal and rural areas to ensure equitable growth across Chhattisgarh.
