TFP Bureau, Raipur, January 14, 2026: Chhattisgarh’s capital is set to witness a vibrant confluence of ideas, literature and culture as preparations gather pace for the Raipur Literature Festival 2026. A key review meeting of the festival’s Organising Committee was held at Samvad Bhavan in Nava Raipur to take stock of arrangements and finalise the roadmap for the prestigious three-day event.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the overall structure of the festival, participation of national-level guests, literary and cultural sessions, stage management, logistics, and the progress of publicity and outreach activities. The focus remained on ensuring smooth coordination and high-quality execution to make the festival a memorable experience for writers, readers and visitors.
Chief Minister’s Media Advisor Shri Pankaj Jha said the Raipur Literature Festival is not merely an event but a significant platform to establish Chhattisgarh’s intellectual, cultural and literary identity at the national level. He noted that consistent efforts are being made to position the festival among India’s prominent literary gatherings. It was informed that the festival will be organised from January 23 to January 25, 2026, at Purkhouti Muktangan, Atal Nagar, Nava Raipur.
The Raipur Literature Festival 2026 is expected to bring together renowned writers, poets, authors, journalists, thinkers and young creative voices from across the country. The programme will feature literary discussions, book launches, dialogue and idea-exchange sessions, along with cultural performances and art presentations reflecting diverse traditions and contemporary expressions. A book fair will also be organised as part of the festival, with participation from leading publishing houses across India.
Purkhouti Muktangan, known for showcasing the cultural heritage of Chhattisgarh, will be transformed into a hub of literature and ideas during the festival. The venue will provide a unique backdrop where the state’s rich traditions seamlessly blend with modern literary discourse, offering visitors an immersive cultural experience.
Officials stated that the festival aims not only to connect writers and readers but also to strengthen Chhattisgarh’s cultural image on the national stage. The detailed programme schedule and the list of participating speakers and guests will be released in the coming days.
The review meeting was attended by Shri Shanshak Sharma, Chairman, Chhattisgarh Sahitya Akademi; Shri Vishwaranjan, Chief Executive Officer, Zila Panchayat Raipur; Shri Umesh Mishra, Additional Director, Public Relations; and Shri Alok Dev, who shared suggestions and guidance to ensure the successful organisation of the Raipur Literature Festival 2026.
