Chief Minister visits Raj Bhavan with traditional Dhokra artefact, conveys wishes for health and long tenure
TFP Bureau, Raipur, March 1, 2026: Vishnu Deo Sai on Sunday personally extended birthday greetings to Governor Ramen Deka during a courtesy visit to Lok Bhavan.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister presented the Governor with a bouquet, a shawl and an intricately crafted artefact made in Chhattisgarh’s traditional Dhokra art form, symbolising the state’s rich tribal craftsmanship and cultural heritage. He conveyed his best wishes for the Governor’s good health, happiness and a long, fulfilling tenure in office.
Officials said the interaction reflected cordial relations between the constitutional head of the state and the elected government. The exchange of traditional gifts also highlighted the administration’s continued emphasis on promoting local art and artisans by showcasing indigenous handicrafts on formal occasions.
Sources present during the visit described the interaction as warm and informal, with the Chief Minister expressing appreciation for the Governor’s guidance and support in the state’s governance and development initiatives.
