Officials directed to monitor stocks closely and take strict action against black marketing of cooking gas
TFP Bureau, Raipur, March 10,2026: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Tuesday assured citizens that there is no shortage of cooking gas in Chhattisgarh and that adequate stocks of LPG, petrol and diesel are available across the state. The Chief Minister said the government is closely monitoring the supply system to ensure uninterrupted availability of essential fuels for the public.
Issuing clear instructions to district administrations, Sai directed officials in all districts to ensure smooth and regular supply of cooking gas. He emphasised that authorities must remain vigilant and coordinate with gas agencies to maintain sufficient stock and prevent any disruption in distribution.
According to officials, the state government has asked district collectors and concerned departments to regularly review stock levels with LPG distributors and monitor the supply chain on a daily basis. The administration has also been instructed to keep a close watch on transportation and distribution systems to ensure that cylinders reach consumers without delay.
The Chief Minister said the government is fully alert and committed to ensuring that citizens do not face any inconvenience in accessing essential commodities such as cooking gas and fuel. He added that regular monitoring and coordination with suppliers will help maintain stable supply across both urban and rural areas of the state.
Sai also directed authorities to take strict action in case complaints of black marketing, hoarding or irregularities are reported. He warned that any individual or agency found involved in such illegal practices would face strict legal action under relevant provisions of law.
Appealing to the public, the Chief Minister urged citizens not to pay attention to rumours regarding shortage of LPG or fuel supplies. He advised consumers to book cooking gas cylinders only according to their actual requirement and avoid panic booking.
The Chief Minister said the state government is taking all necessary steps to maintain adequate availability of LPG, petrol and diesel and to ensure that supply systems remain smooth and efficient across Chhattisgarh. He added that authorities will continue to monitor the situation closely to safeguard public interest and maintain uninterrupted access to essential fuel supplies.
