TFP Bureau, Korba, July 17, 2025: Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (BALCO), part of the Vedanta Group, inaugurated the AVNP AI Skills Training Program at the Vedanta Skill School, marking a significant step in youth empowerment through digital education. The launch coincided with World Youth Skills Day and drew participation from over 150 young trainees and trainers.
The 20-day AI training course, comprising daily 2-hour sessions, is designed to provide practical knowledge of Artificial Intelligence. The comprehensive program includes center-based instruction, integrated training for ongoing students, and workplace-based on-site sessions. Training progress will be tracked using the ANUDIP LMS platform, and all trainers are certified through a dedicated Training of Trainers program. Trainees undergo selection via a rigorous Entry Gate Assessment.

BALCO CEO and Director Mr. Rajesh Kumar highlighted the importance of AI and digital skills in today’s era. “At BALCO, we are committed to equipping youth with cutting-edge skills that prepare them for the future. Our goal is to foster a generation grounded in innovation, ethics, and digital literacy,” he said. The company’s mission is to build self-reliant, skilled youth who can contribute effectively to nation-building.
The program featured a range of interactive and educational activities including debates on AI ethics, cybersecurity model building, CV writing workshops, and mock interviews. Cultural and theatrical performances by the youth creatively showcased various AI applications in daily life.
Since its inception, Vedanta Skills School has trained over 13,000 youths, facilitating their employment in 45 companies across 22 states. With the addition of a Mobile Repairing trade this year, the school now offers seven different vocational training courses.
BALCO reaffirmed its dedication to continuous skill development, innovation, and inclusion as pillars of creating a future-ready workforce.
