CM Writes to Collectors for Statewide ‘Sushasan Tihar 2026’ Campaign

Mass grievance-redressal drive to run from May 1 to June 10 with camps across rural and urban areas; focus on time-bound solutions and wider public participation

TFP Bureau, Raipur, April 16,2026: The Chhattisgarh government will organise the statewide campaign “Sushasan Tihar 2026” to ensure prompt redressal of public grievances and improve delivery of government services. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has written to all District Collectors directing them to make detailed preparations for the large-scale initiative aimed at strengthening good governance across the state.

In his communication, the Chief Minister emphasised that time-bound resolution of public grievances is the foundation of effective governance and that the state government remains committed to providing transparent, simple and prompt services to citizens. Citing the positive outcomes of last year’s campaign, he stated that the upcoming edition of Sushasan Tihar will be organised on a much larger scale to ensure wider outreach and quicker resolution of people’s issues.

According to the guidelines issued to district administrations, special efforts must be made to clear pending public grievances before the campaign begins. The Chief Minister has directed Collectors to resolve pending cases across districts by April 30, 2026, particularly those related to land and public service delivery. These include matters such as mutation, partition, demarcation of land, pending wage payments under the MGNREGA, outstanding payments under beneficiary-oriented schemes, and delays in issuing income, caste and residence certificates. Officials have also been asked to prioritise resolving electricity-related issues including transformer problems, as well as repairing non-functional handpumps in rural areas.

The letter further emphasises that eligible citizens should receive benefits under major welfare schemes without delay. District administrations have been instructed to ensure coverage of beneficiaries under schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, ration card distribution, and social security pension programmes so that no eligible individual is left out.

As part of the campaign, public grievance-redressal camps will be organised across the state from May 1 to June 10, 2026. In rural areas, camps will be held in clusters covering 15 to 20 Gram Panchayats, while in urban areas they will be organised according to ward clusters to ensure easy access for residents. The camps will not only accept complaints and applications from citizens but will also serve as platforms to spread awareness about various government welfare schemes. Wherever possible, eligible beneficiaries will be provided services and benefits on the spot.

Officials have been instructed to ensure that applications received during the camps are disposed of within a maximum period of one month. Applicants will also be informed about the status of their applications to maintain transparency and accountability in the grievance-redressal process.

To strengthen monitoring and public engagement during the campaign, the Chief Minister has directed that senior leaders and officials regularly visit the camps. Ministers, Members of Parliament, Members of the Legislative Assembly, the Chief Secretary and in-charge Secretaries will undertake field visits to inspect arrangements, review the progress of grievance redressal and interact directly with citizens.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai is also expected to personally visit several districts during the campaign period. During these visits, he will conduct surprise inspections of development works and the implementation of government schemes, review the disposal of applications received in the camps and hold meetings with district-level officials to assess progress. The Chief Minister will also interact with beneficiaries to obtain direct feedback on the functioning of government schemes.

After reviewing the arrangements and progress of the campaign, the Chief Minister will address media briefings and meet representatives of social organisations and citizens to gather suggestions for improving governance and service delivery.

The Public Relations Department and district administrations have been instructed to undertake extensive publicity through various media platforms to ensure maximum public awareness and participation in the campaign. The Chief Minister has urged Collectors to make advance preparations and transform Sushasan Tihar 2026 into a mass movement so that citizens across the state can benefit from government schemes and receive timely solutions to their grievances.
