Aggarwal Samaj a Pillar of Charity and Service to Humanity: CM Vishnu Dev Sai

TFP Bureau, Raipur, April 4, 2025: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai lauded the enduring spirit of service and philanthropy exhibited by the Aggarwal community during a special felicitation and oath-taking ceremony held on Charity Day at Chhattisgarhi Agarwal Bhawan in Raipur. The event also marked the inauguration of a newly constructed 200-seat auditorium built by the community.

In his address, Chief Minister Sai praised the Aggarwal Samaj’s long-standing commitment to public welfare and its pivotal role in the socio-economic development of Chhattisgarh. “The Aggarwal community has always stood at the forefront of humanitarian service and charity. Their dedication during the COVID-19 crisis is unforgettable,” he said.

Highlighting the historic ties of the community with the state, he noted that the Aggarwal Samaj has been contributing to Chhattisgarh’s development for over 400 years, especially in business and philanthropic efforts.

The Chief Minister also acknowledged major contributions made by the society’s donors, citing their support to institutions like DKS Hospital, AIIMS, and public infrastructure including Sheetalbandha pond. Notably, the community has donated 1,900 acres of land for the Agricultural University and has built dharamshalas, temples, cow shelters, and water bodies that benefit diverse sections of society.

“These initiatives are shining examples of social harmony and community-led development,” said Shri Sai. He emphasized that members of the Chhattisgarhi Aggarwal Samaj have made valuable contributions in fields like education, healthcare, employment, and girl child welfare, both in Raipur and across the state.

Looking ahead, he expressed confidence that the Aggarwal community would play a vital role in fulfilling Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India and a developed Chhattisgarh by 2047.

During the ceremony, the Chief Minister administered the oath of office to the newly elected officials of the community and honored prominent donor families. The event was also addressed by Raipur South MLA Shri Sunil Soni and witnessed the presence of dignitaries including MLA Shri Purandar Mishra, Raipur Mayor Smt. Meenal Choubey, Shri Sanjay Shrivastava, Shri Dau Anurag Agrawal, and other notable citizens.
