Chhattisgarh Approves Four New Industrial Parks to Boost Manufacturing and Employment

State-level committee clears manufacturing clusters in Rajnandgaon, Dhamtari, Janjgir-Champa, and Bastar under the industrial development scheme

TFP Bureau, Raipur, July 29, 2026: In a major push to industrial growth and employment generation, the Chhattisgarh government has approved the development of four new industrial parks across the state. The decision was taken at the second meeting of the State-Level Committee for Industrial Development Schemes, chaired by Chief Secretary Shri Vikas Sheel.

The committee approved proposals for setting up four manufacturing clusters in different districts to strengthen the state’s industrial infrastructure and attract fresh investments. The approved projects include a Special Manufacturing Cluster at Pateva in Rajnandgaon district and Multi-Sector Manufacturing Clusters at Dhumrapali in Dhamtari district, Salkhan in Janjgir-Champa district, and Niyanar in Bastar district.

Officials said the new industrial parks are expected to promote manufacturing activities, generate employment opportunities, and contribute to balanced regional development by creating modern industrial infrastructure across key districts.

The initiative is part of the Central Government’s industrial development scheme, which is being implemented by the Chhattisgarh government under its industrial development policy. A state-level committee has been constituted to ensure the effective implementation of the scheme and facilitate the timely approval of projects.

The meeting was attended by Finance Secretary Dr. Rohit Yadav, Housing and Environment Secretary Shri Ankit Anand, Commerce and Industries Secretary Shri Rajat Kumar, Energy Secretary Dr. Saransh Mittar, Special Secretary of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department Ms. Iffat Ara, along with senior officials from various government departments.
