Government offices and institutions in Raipur district and the state capital to remain closed on September 15, October 19 and November 9
TFP Bureau, Raipur, September 10, 2026: Government offices and institutions in Raipur district, including those located in the state capital, will observe three local holidays on the occasions of Nuakhai, Maha Ashtami and Govardhan Puja.
The General Administration Department, Mantralaya, Nava Raipur Atal Nagar, has issued an order declaring the three local holidays for Raipur district.
As per the order, September 15, 2026 (Tuesday) will be observed as a local holiday on the occasion of Nuakhai. The second holiday will fall on October 19, 2026 (Monday), on the occasion of Maha Ashtami.
The third local holiday has been declared for November 9, 2026 (Monday), on the occasion of Govardhan Puja, observed on the day following Diwali.
The holidays will be applicable to government offices and institutions located within Raipur district and the state capital. The declaration is specific to the local holiday calendar for Raipur district.
