Vishwakarma Jayanti celebrated at BALCO

Employees, officials and contract workers participate in prayers; focus on safety, innovation and sustainable growth

TFP Bureau, Korba, September 17, 2026: Lord Vishwakarma Jayanti was celebrated at Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (BALCO), a subsidiary of Vedanta Aluminium, with employees, senior officials and contract workers participating in prayers held across various plant units and offices.

Idols of Lord Vishwakarma were installed and decorated at different locations within the plant premises. BALCO CEO and Whole-time Director Rajesh Singh, along with senior officials, employees and contract workers, took part in the rituals. Prasad was distributed after the prayers.

Lord Vishwakarma is traditionally regarded as the deity of creation, craftsmanship and construction. At BALCO, the occasion was also marked as an opportunity to reinforce the importance of workplace safety, innovation, responsibility and continuous improvement.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Singh said the worship of Lord Vishwakarma served as a reminder to place safety and responsibility alongside creation and productivity.

“The contribution of every employee at BALCO forms the foundation of our collective progress. Driven by a safe work culture, innovation and team spirit, we are committed to setting new benchmarks in industrial growth and contributing to the vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat,” he said.
