*Chief Minister Attends Ayurveda Seva Sammelan, Blood Donation Mahakumbh and Mega Health Check-Up Camp under Seva Sankalp Abhiyan
TFP Bureau, Raipur, September 23, 2026: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai attended the Ayurveda Seva Sammelan, Blood Donation Mahakumbh and Mega Health Check-Up Camp organised under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan at Sardar Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium in Raipur on September 23. He also extended greetings on National Ayurveda Day.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that blood donation is one of the greatest services to humanity, as a person’s blood can save a life and bring new hope to an entire family. He said the enthusiastic participation of citizens in blood, body and organ donation reflects a growing spirit of service, sensitivity and social responsibility in society.
*More Than 1,000 Women Donate Blood, Initiative Enters Golden Book of World Records
The Blood Donation Mahakumbh witnessed a historic initiative, with more than 1,000 women donating blood in a single day, earning recognition in the Golden Book of World Records. More than 3,600 women registered to donate blood, and organisers arranged 200 beds at the venue to facilitate the drive. Representatives of the Golden Book of World Records presented Chief Minister Shri Sai with a certificate and medal marking the achievement. The event witnessed participation from both women and men, with a target of collecting around 2,500 units of blood.
Congratulating the donors, Chief Minister Shri Sai said the significance of blood donation goes far beyond numbers or records. Every unit of donated blood represents hope for a patient in need, and every donor makes an invaluable contribution to humanity.
*31 People Pledge Body Donation under Project Dadhichi
Chief Minister Shri Sai also appreciated citizens who pledged body and organ donation under Project Dadhichi. At the programme, 31 people pledged to donate their bodies, including Padma Shri awardee and Dharsiwa MLA Shri Anuj Sharma. So far, 103 people have pledged to donate their bodies under Project Dadhichi.
The Chief Minister said that serving humanity even after one’s lifetime is an inspiring expression of selflessness. While body donation contributes significantly to medical education and research, organ donation can give a new lease of life to people in need.
*Ayurveda an Invaluable Heritage of India’s Ancient Knowledge Tradition
Extending greetings on National Ayurveda Day, Chief Minister Shri Sai described Ayurveda as an invaluable heritage of India’s ancient knowledge tradition. He said Bhagwan Dhanvantari and great Acharyas such as Charaka and Sushruta developed a rich tradition of medicine and healthy living thousands of years ago, which continues to contribute to human well-being.
The Chief Minister said Ayurveda, Yoga and other Indian systems of medicine have gained greater recognition nationally and globally under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Through the Ministry of AYUSH, Ayurveda, Yoga and naturopathy are being promoted with an emphasis on preventive healthcare, healthy lifestyles and holistic well-being.
He said the Chhattisgarh Government is similarly working to strengthen modern healthcare while also promoting Ayurveda, Yoga and naturopathy to ensure accessible and quality healthcare services for citizens.
*Seva Sankalp Abhiyan Connecting Public Service with Public Participation
Chief Minister Shri Sai said various public service and welfare activities have been organised across Chhattisgarh under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, which began on Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17.
He said the campaign is bringing together different sections of society through activities ranging from blood donation and health check-ups to assistance for children in need.
As part of the initiative, separate centres were set up at the venue to collect books, toys and stationery for children in need. The Chief Minister said these materials would support children’s education and development while also bringing happiness to their lives.
Chief Minister Shri Sai inspected various activities organised under the campaign, as well as stalls related to Ayurveda. He interacted with organisers and participants and encouraged them for their contribution to service initiatives.
*Healthcare Infrastructure Being Expanded Across Chhattisgarh: Health Minister Shri Jaiswal
Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal said the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan will continue from September 17 to October 17, with various public welfare activities being undertaken across the state.
He said Chhattisgarh is continuously expanding its healthcare infrastructure. Super-speciality healthcare services are being expanded in Jagdalpur and Bilaspur, while new medical colleges are strengthening medical education and healthcare delivery. Eligible citizens are also receiving treatment at private hospitals under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana.
The Health Minister said facilities for Ayurveda, Yoga and naturopathy are also being strengthened alongside allopathic healthcare. Four new Yoga and Naturopathy hospitals are being developed in the state. A new 100-bed Ayurvedic hospital is being developed opposite NIT in Raipur, while construction of a new building for an Ayurvedic hospital in Bilaspur is also underway. He urged citizens to make full use of AYUSH fairs, health check-up camps and other government-provided healthcare facilities.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao, Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, Revenue Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma, MP Shri Brijmohan Agrawal, MLA Shri Sunil Soni, Padma Shri awardee MLA Shri Anuj Sharma, MLA Shri Prabodh Minj, chairpersons of various corporations and boards, administrative officials, officers and personnel of the paramilitary forces and the Army, along with a large number of citizens, were present.
