TFP Bureau, Raipur, February 16, 2024: In a significant development, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai announced the launch of the ‘Niyad Nellanar Scheme,’ also known as the ‘Your Good Village Scheme,’ during the assembly session today. The scheme is tailored to address the needs of villages in Maoist-affected areas, ensuring the provision of over 25 essential facilities within a 5-kilometer radius of 14 newly established camps. These camps, intended to enhance security measures, will also function as centers for comprehensive development initiatives.

Under the ambit of the scheme, villagers residing in the vicinity of these camps will benefit from 32 individual government schemes, facilitating holistic progress in the region. Chief Minister Sai emphasized that the objective is not merely to establish police outposts but to create hubs for multifaceted development.

Allocating an additional budget of Rs 20 crore for the initiative, Chief Minister Sai affirmed the government’s commitment to meeting any future financial requirements. A monitoring dashboard is being devised to ensure the efficient execution of the scheme, with continuous evaluation to prevent any exclusion of eligible beneficiaries.

Highlighting the scheme’s focus on rapid economic upliftment, Chief Minister Sai underscored the significance of the 14 new camps in facilitating security arrangements and extending government benefits to villagers. The scheme aims to provide facilities akin to those offered under the Prime Minister’s Janman Yojana for special backward tribes.

The scheme encompasses housing provisions, ration distribution, healthcare facilities, education amenities, irrigation support, and connectivity enhancement, among other provisions.

To ensure seamless implementation, public convenience camps will be set up in the villages to facilitate applications and prompt resolution of issues. Chief Minister Sai reiterated the government’s commitment to securing additional funds from the central and state authorities, if necessary, to sustain the scheme’s objectives.

Former minister and MLA Shri Kawasi Lakhma lauded the scheme, highlighting its potential to benefit tribal communities in Bastar.
