TFP Bureau, New Delhi, April 27, 2025: Expressing deep anguish over the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the 121st episode of his monthly radio address ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on Sunday said the nation stands united in grief and resolve. “The blood of every Indian is boiling,” he remarked, condemning the cowardly act that claimed innocent lives on April 22. PM Modi stressed that the attack was a desperate attempt by the enemies of peace to disrupt the development and democratic progress in Jammu and Kashmir.
He assured the nation that the perpetrators and conspirators behind the attack would face the harshest consequences, emphasizing the country’s unwavering commitment to defeating terrorism. He noted that global leaders have expressed solidarity with India and condemned the attack, reaffirming international support in the fight against terror.
Paying homage to Dr. K. Kasturirangan, the renowned space scientist who recently passed away, the Prime Minister lauded his pivotal role in shaping India’s space program and his contributions to the formulation of the National Education Policy. Modi highlighted India’s remarkable journey in space science, from the launch of Aryabhata 50 years ago to recent missions like Chandrayaan-3 and the Mars Orbiter Mission.
Speaking on humanitarian efforts, PM Modi praised India’s swift launch of ‘Operation Brahma’ to aid Myanmar following a devastating earthquake, recounting heroic rescue efforts by Indian teams. He also highlighted the contributions of NRIs in Ethiopia, who are helping children with congenital heart conditions receive treatment in India.
PM Modi introduced the ‘Sachet’ mobile app developed by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to enhance disaster preparedness, providing real-time alerts and information in multiple languages.
The Prime Minister celebrated the nation’s growing enthusiasm for science and technology, particularly among youth in regions previously known for unrest, like Dantewada, Chhattisgarh. He praised initiatives like science centers and innovation hubs that are inspiring children toward a future of invention and progress.
Highlighting the success of the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, which has seen the planting of over 140 crore trees in one year, Modi encouraged citizens to continue their efforts for environmental protection. He cited the example of Ahmedabad’s green transformation as a model for climate resilience.
In an inspiring segment, PM Modi shared stories of agricultural innovation, including successful apple cultivation in Karnataka and saffron farming in Wayanad and Kinnaur, breaking traditional geographical barriers.
Reflecting on India’s rich history of resistance and freedom struggles, he recalled the Champaran Satyagraha led by Mahatma Gandhi in 1917 and saluted the sacrifices of great leaders like Babu Veer Kunwar Singh. Modi urged the youth to draw inspiration from India’s freedom movement as the country moves forward into its ‘Amritkaal’.
Concluding his address, PM Modi thanked citizens for making ‘Mann Ki Baat’ a platform of collective inspiration and called for continued participation in sharing stories of change, dedication, and national pride.
