Chhattisgarh Offers Promising Prospects for Agriculture and Industry, Urges Youth to Harness Potential: Chief Minister

TFP Bureau, Raipur, June 9, 2025: Chhattisgarh, endowed with abundant minerals, forests, and natural resources, presents vast opportunities for growth in agriculture and industrial sectors. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai emphasized the need for youth to leverage these resources effectively to contribute to the state’s and nation’s development.

Addressing a group of 50 budding entrepreneurs from Dantewada undergoing specialized training at the prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Nava Raipur, the Chief Minister encouraged them to turn their learning into action. He expressed optimism that the training would equip them with skills essential for career advancement and personal growth.

“When a young entrepreneur realizes his dreams, it ignites inspiration and opens doors for many others,” Shri Sai said. “It is heartening that these talented youth from the Bastar region, recognized for its potential, are progressing in entrepreneurship. Now, implement what you have learned and launch your ventures — the government will support you fully.”

Highlighting the state’s supportive environment, Shri Sai noted, “Chhattisgarh fosters both agriculture and industrial development. To promote innovation and entrepreneurship, we introduced the ‘New Industrial Policy 2024-30’ based on the mantra ‘Minimum Governance, Maximum Incentive.’ The Single Window 2.0 system streamlines the process of setting up industries with easy clearances.”

He added that Bastar and Surguja, traditionally seen as backward regions, have been designated as key investment zones under this policy to accelerate their development. Special grants are available to encourage industry establishment in Bastar, complemented by a recently crafted roadmap addressing agriculture, forest-based business, and tourism.

Improved connectivity through a robust road network ensures that entrepreneurs’ products can access markets nationwide. During the interactive session, the young entrepreneurs enthusiastically shared their experiences.

Present at the meeting were notable participants including Chandrakumar Sahu from Bade Bacheli, Abhishek Gupta from Kirandul-Bailadila, Anirudh Kumar from Bacheli, Tejasv Kumar and Neelam Pandey from Bijapur, Shilpa Kumari from Bacheli, and Rakesh Yadav from Dantewada.

The Chief Minister’s encouragement aims to empower these youth to become leaders in Chhattisgarh’s growing economy.
