Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai Launches ‘Sampark Smart School and Smart Block Programme’ in Jashpur

TFP Bureau, Raipur, June 28, 2025:  Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated the ‘Sampark Smart School and Smart Block Programme’ at Bagicha High School in Kansabel block of Jashpur district on Saturday, marking a major milestone in Chhattisgarh’s educational progress. The launch included the distribution of Sampark Smart Kits and televisions to 50 primary schools, designed to enhance learning experiences for young students through innovative technology.

Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Sai expressed pride in launching the programme in his native village, recalling his early school days at Bagicha where he studied from Class 1 to 5. “From a humble school with a leaky, tiled roof 50 years ago, today Bagicha stands transformed into a modern high school,” he reflected. Emphasizing education as the key to holistic development, he praised teachers as nation-builders shaping future doctors, engineers, scientists, and professionals.

Highlighting the importance of the Sampark initiative, Sai shared that it was inspired by the founder Shri Vineet Nair’s mother, a government school teacher. The programme, already successful in states like Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, provides smart TV devices and kits for Math and English designed to make learning playful and engaging. “These kits will help overcome children’s hesitation and simplify their learning,” said the Chief Minister, urging headmasters to ensure effective utilization.

Jashpur district’s outstanding academic performance was also applauded, with 15 students ranking in the top 10 merit lists for both Class 10 and 12 board exams this year. The district achieved a 94% pass rate at both levels, the highest in the state, along with excellent results in primary education—99.5% in Class 5 and 97.3% in Class 8.

Under the Chief Minister’s guidance, orientation programmes for school heads are ongoing to ensure smooth academic operations. Collaborative initiatives with ISRO, IITs, and other premier institutions promote scientific thinking, while daily attendance monitoring is digitized through apps. Rationalization efforts have optimized school arrangements district-wide.

The distribution of Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) kits through the Sampark Foundation is expected to further elevate the quality of education in Jashpur.

District dignitaries including District Panchayat President Shri Salik Sai, Kansabel Janpad Panchayat President Smt. Sushila Sai, IG Shri Deepak Kumar Jha, Collector Shri Rohit Vyas, SSP Shri Shashi Mohan Singh, and Sampark Foundation National Manager Shri Pradeep Rana attended the event, along with teachers, students, and local representatives.
