Union Minister Satish Chandra Dubey Meets CM Vishnu Deo Sai to Discuss Coal Sector Growth

TFP Bureau, Raipur, June 30, 2025:  Union Minister of State for Coal and Mines, Shri Satish Chandra Dubey, met Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai at his official residence in Raipur on Monday. The meeting centred around key developments in coal mining and production across the state, with emphasis on enhancing coordination between the Centre and the State to unlock the full potential of the coal and energy sectors.

During the discussions, both leaders reviewed the status of ongoing mining operations, progress in coal production, and the implementation of welfare measures for mine workers. Development initiatives linked to the coal sector were also deliberated upon, with a shared vision of driving economic growth and ensuring environmental sustainability.

Chief Minister Shri Sai underscored the importance of stronger Centre-State collaboration to accelerate growth in Chhattisgarh’s coal-rich regions. He also highlighted the strategic role of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds in delivering high-impact welfare schemes for local communities.

“Enhanced cooperation and efficient use of CSR resources can significantly uplift mining-affected areas and contribute to holistic development,” the Chief Minister said.

Also present at the meeting were Chief Minister’s Secretary Shri P. Dayanand, SECL Chief General Manager Shri Harish Duhan, and other senior officials from the state and coal sector.
