TFP Bureau, Raipur, June 30, 2025: The Chhattisgarh government has extended the service tenure of Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, a 1989 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Chhattisgarh cadre, by three months. This extension is effective from July 1, 2025, to September 30, 2025.
The decision was made under Rule 16(1) of the AIS (Death-cum-Retirement Benefits) Rules, 1958, following the approval granted by the Government of India, Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), New Delhi, through letter no. 26014/03/2022-AIS-II(Pension) dated June 30, 2025.
A formal order to this effect was issued today by the General Administration Department at the Mantralaya, Mahanadi Bhawan, Nava Raipur Atal Nagar. The extension allows Shri Amitabh Jain to continue serving as the Chief Secretary of Chhattisgarh for an additional period of three months.
The order, issued in the name of the Governor of Chhattisgarh, was signed by Ranjit Kumar, Secretary, General Administration Department. Copies of the order have been sent to various state and central government offices, including the Chief Minister’s Office, Raj Bhavan, and the Department of Personnel and Training in New Delhi.
