PM Modi to Virtually Inaugurate Kendriya Vidyalaya in Kabirdham; PM Shri Yojana Launch in Chhattisgarh

Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to Attend PM Shri Yojana Launch Today

TFP Bureau Raipur, February 19, 2024: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is set to virtually inaugurate the new Kendriya Vidyalaya building situated at Maharajpur in Kabirdham district of Chhattisgarh on February 20. The inauguration ceremony will see the presence of Chhattisgarh’s Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Shri Vijay Sharma and MP Shri Santosh Pandey, who have played pivotal roles in the construction of the Kendriya Vidyalaya building. The construction, including the Kendriya Vidyalaya building and employee residential building, has been completed at a cost of Rs 20.56 crore.

In preparation for the inauguration, Collector Shri Janmejay Mahobe inspected the new Kendriya Vidyalaya building along with District Panchayat CEO Mr. Sandeep Aggarwal. The tireless efforts of Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma and MP Shri Santosh Pandey have ensured the completion of the new Kendriya Vidyalaya campus in Kabirdham district.

Meanwhile, the launch of the Pradhan Mantri School for Rising India PM Shri Yojana is scheduled for February 19 in Chhattisgarh. Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan will grace the event as the chief guest, while Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai will preside over the ceremony. The launch will take place at 5:30 pm at the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium located at the Science College Ground in the capital Raipur. School Education Minister Shri Brijmohan Agarwal will also be present as a special guest.

Under the PM Shri Yojana, as per the National Education Policy 2020, 14500 government schools nationwide are being upgraded. Chhattisgarh has 211 schools selected in the first phase, comprising 193 at the elementary level and 18 at the secondary level. The scheme aims to provide ICT facilities to students through digital classrooms and link them with vocational education, internships, and entrepreneurship opportunities with local industries.

The event, organized by the Department of School Education and Literacy, Government of India, in collaboration with the School Education Department, Government of Chhattisgarh, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, will witness the participation of Lok Sabha MP Shri Sunil Soni, MLAs Shri Rajesh Munat, Purandar Mishra, Moti Lal Sahu, Anuj Sharma, Guru Khushwant Saheb, Inder Kumar Sahu, and Mayor Raipur Shri Ejaz Dhebar as special guests.
