TFP Bureau, New Delhi, August 1, 2025: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met Union Home Minister Amit Shah at Parliament House today to discuss the state’s comprehensive development agenda, anti-Maoist operations, and the upcoming Amrit Rajat Mahotsav marking 25 years of Chhattisgarh’s formation.
During the meeting, CM Sai presented a detailed briefing on the significant gains made by security forces in the ongoing fight against Maoist insurgency. He informed that since December 2023, security operations have resulted in the neutralization of 445 Maoists in 33 major encounters, the arrest of 1,554, and the surrender of 1,588 extremists.
Highlighting the state’s Integrated Development and Security Policy, the Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh is focused on the complete elimination of Maoist influence through a dual strategy — intensified security action and accelerated infrastructure development in affected regions. Key focus areas include the expansion of road networks, healthcare, education, and communication services in Maoist-hit districts.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah lauded the Chhattisgarh government’s progress and called the achievements “historic”. He assured the Centre’s continued support for security and development efforts in the region, especially in the conflict-affected Bastar division.
The leaders also reviewed preparations for the Amrit Rajat Mahotsav, scheduled for November 1, 2025, which will commemorate the silver jubilee of Chhattisgarh’s statehood. CM Sai informed that the celebration will highlight the state’s cultural richness, social unity, and economic transformation. He extended a formal invitation to the Union Home Minister to participate in the event.
On this occasion, CM Sai expressed gratitude to Amit Shah for his consistent guidance and support, particularly in advancing development and security initiatives in Bastar and other sensitive areas.
The meeting concluded with a shared resolve to continue coordinated efforts between the Centre and the State to ensure lasting peace, prosperity, and inclusive growth in Chhattisgarh.
