TFP Bureau, Raipur, August 18, 2025 – Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai extended his congratulations and best wishes to Rover Devashish Makhija and Ranger Mantript Kaur Sandhu, who were recently honoured with the prestigious President’s Rover Ranger Award. The young achievers paid a courtesy call on the Chief Minister, who felicitated them with mementoes and praised their dedication and hard work.
It is noteworthy that President Droupadi Murmu had honoured three participants from Chhattisgarh — Rover Devashish Makhija, Ranger Mantript Kaur Sandhu and Guide Kusum Sinha — during a special ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi, on July 22. The award is considered one of the highest recognitions in the field of scouting and guiding and was conferred upon only 16 participants across the country over the last four years.
Sharing his experience, Devashish Makhija said it was a moment of immense pride for him and for the state. He highlighted that being among the limited number of awardees nationwide reflects the growing talent and spirit of service in Chhattisgarh. He also recalled being honoured earlier with the Governor’s Award by former Governor Anusuiya Uike.
Chief Minister Sai, while congratulating the awardees, said their success is an inspiration to the youth of the state. He emphasized that such achievements bring glory to Chhattisgarh and encourage more youngsters to pursue excellence in academics, social service, and leadership.
During the meeting, Ranger Mantript Kaur’s father, Gurjeet Singh Sandhu, was also present, along with Amarjeet Singh Chhabra, Chairman of the Chhattisgarh State Minority Commission.
The Chief Minister expressed hope that the accomplishments of these young talents will motivate many more youths from Chhattisgarh to strive for national and international recognition in their respective fields.
