TFP Bureau, Raipur, August 25, 2025: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today visited the Chhattisgarh Pavilion at the ongoing World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, where the state is making a powerful impression on the global stage. The Pavilion, located within the Bharat Mandapam, has already attracted a record number of visitors, with more than 22,000 people on its opening day alone, underscoring the strong international interest in Chhattisgarh’s cultural, industrial, and tourism offerings.
A Confluence of Tradition and Modern Progress
Touring the Pavilion, CM Sai described Chhattisgarh as a unique confluence of tradition and modernity, emphasizing that the state is not only known for its tribal heritage, folk culture, and art, but is also rapidly moving forward in industry, technology, and global cooperation.
“Our identity lies in both our deep-rooted traditions and our progressive vision for the future. Chhattisgarh today stands ready to engage the world with its cultural pride as well as its industrial strength,” the Chief Minister stated.
The Pavilion, designed to provide an immersive experience, brings together the state’s tribal art, weaving, handicrafts, herbal products, and bamboo-based items. Alongside, it highlights industrial potential, investment-ready opportunities, and strategic strengths such as Chhattisgarh’s central location and robust logistics network.
International Appreciation of Chhattisgarh’s Heritage
Visitors from Japan and other countries expressed admiration for the authenticity of Bastar Art, the elegance of bamboo crafts, and the vibrancy of folk performances. Many were drawn to the live demonstrations of traditional weaving and craft-making, which offered an engaging glimpse into the daily life and artistic skill of the state’s tribal communities.
Performances of tribal folk music and dance further enhanced the Pavilion’s appeal, creating a festive atmosphere that resonated with international audiences. Several visitors described the Pavilion as a “window into India’s living traditions,” while also noting the forward-looking exhibits on smart cities, tourism infrastructure, and industrial growth.
Investment and Global Partnerships in Focus
In his interactions with visitors, CM Sai extended a warm invitation to investors and entrepreneurs, encouraging them to explore Chhattisgarh’s investment-friendly ecosystem, skilled workforce, and sustainable industrial policies.
“Chhattisgarh is fully prepared for investment and global partnerships,” he said, adding that participation in platforms like the World Expo reflects the state’s ambition to become not only a key contributor to India’s growth story but also an emerging hub for global cooperation.
On the sidelines of his visit, the Chief Minister also engaged in discussions with international investors, trade representatives, and government delegations. These meetings, focused on industrial collaboration, tourism development, and cultural exchange, opened new avenues for cooperation and highlighted Chhattisgarh’s readiness to integrate with global markets.
