TFP Bureau, Raipur, September 28, 2025 : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai lauded the Vidya Bharati Foundation for its contribution in preserving and promoting India’s culture, traditions, and values, while urging students to dedicate themselves to building national pride. He was speaking at the inauguration of the newly constructed Saraswati Mahavidyalaya building at the Saraswati Shishu Mandir campus in Koni, Bilaspur, where a grand felicitation ceremony was also held to honor 24 talented students from across 33 districts of Chhattisgarh.
The ceremony, organized by Vidya Bharati, was presided over by Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao. Union Minister of State Shri Tokhan Sahu, Higher Education Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma, and School Education Minister Shri Gajendra Yadav were present as special guests, alongside Bilha MLA Shri Dharamlal Kaushik and Takhatpur MLA Shri Dharamjeet Singh.
After dedicating the new college building with a traditional puja, the Chief Minister addressed the gathering at Lakhiram Sabha Bhawan. Extending his greetings for Sharadiya Navratri, Shri Sai congratulated the meritorious students for bringing laurels to the state with their hard work and discipline. He emphasized that the new college building is not merely an institution, but a symbol of expanding knowledge and education that will chart a new direction for society.
Highlighting future opportunities, the Chief Minister informed that Saraswati College has signed MoUs with Guru Ghasidas University and ISRO, Bengaluru, to open avenues in higher education, research, and technology. Additionally, a study center of Pt. Sunderlal Sharma University will also be established on the campus. He reiterated his government’s commitment to education, citing initiatives under the National Education Policy, including learning in local languages, skill development programs, robotics, artificial intelligence, and high-tech libraries. “Education is the foundation of national development, and students must contribute with determination, values, and hard work,” he said.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao commended Vidya Bharati for imparting values alongside academics, stressing that such institutions are strengthening the knowledge traditions and moral fabric of Indian society.
Vidya Bharati’s Provincial Organization Minister, Shri Dev Narayan, shared insights into the organization’s working philosophy, stating that Saraswati Sansthan has established three colleges and operates seven projects in Chhattisgarh, while its Gram Bharati wing runs more than 1,100 schools. “Through these institutions, Indian culture and traditions are being passed on to the younger generation, creating capable and dedicated citizens,” he said.
The event also featured colorful cultural performances by young students, which captivated the audience. Among the prominent attendees were Municipal Corporation Mayor Mrs. Pooja Vidhani, CREDA Chairman Mr. Bhupendra Savanni, Chairman of Saraswati Shiksha Sansthan Chhattisgarh Mr. Ram Bharosa Soni, and several other education leaders, dignitaries, and a large number of students.
The program concluded with a collective resolve to strengthen value-based education while advancing opportunities in science and technology, blending tradition with modern learning to build a stronger future for Chhattisgarh and the nation.
