TFP Bureau, Raipur, November 29, 2025: The paddy procurement season in Jashpur district has commenced on a positive note, with farmers expressing satisfaction over the arrangements made at procurement centers. Farmer Santosh Yadav, who arrived to sell his paddy at the Basantala Paddy Procurement Center in Kunkuri development block, said that the administration’s focus on farmer welfare under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has significantly improved the procurement experience this year.
Yadav said he was pleased with the timely issuance of online tokens, easy availability of gunny bags, and the smooth weighing and procurement process. “The government has placed farmers’ convenience at the top of its priorities. Timely tokens and proper arrangements have brought us great relief. We are grateful to the Chief Minister for ensuring such farmer-friendly facilities,” he stated.
The procurement activity at the Basantala center began with traditional rituals on the inaugural day. Facilities such as drinking water, adequate stock of gunny bags, timely token distribution, and technical inspection of weighing machines have been ensured. Gupta added that the district administration is continuously monitoring the functioning of all procurement centers to prevent any inconvenience to farmers.
The district administration has reiterated its commitment to operating all paddy procurement centers with complete transparency, efficiency, and farmer-centric processes. Officers and staff deployed across the district have been instructed to ensure smooth operations throughout the procurement season, in line with the directives of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai.
