TFP Bureau, Raipur, January 20, 2026: The Transport Department of Chhattisgarh has announced a one-time 50 percent discount on lifetime RTO tax for vehicles purchased during the upcoming Auto Expo – 2026. Organized by the Raipur Automobile Dealers Association, the Expo will run from January 20 to February 5, 2026, at Shri Ram Business Park, opposite MGM Hospital, Vidhan Sabha Road, Saddu, Raipur.
The Auto Expo – 2026 promises to be a landmark event for vehicle buyers in Chhattisgarh, as citizens can now avail of significant financial savings on vehicle registration through a 50 percent discount on RTO tax. This initiative is expected to ease the financial burden on buyers and make vehicle ownership more accessible across the state.
Unlike earlier events, this year’s Expo allows residents to register their purchased vehicles in their home districts, ensuring that vehicles carry the RTO code of their respective local transport offices. Citizens no longer need to travel to Raipur to make their purchases, as participating and registered dealers in other districts and towns are also facilitating this scheme. This step is aimed at benefiting both urban and rural buyers, bringing the advantages of the Auto Expo closer to people in remote areas.
A total of 266 dealers are participating in this year’s event, including 95 from Raipur district and 171 from other districts, offering a wide range of vehicles from entry-level models to the latest technologically advanced cars and SUVs. This extensive participation ensures that visitors can explore a broad selection of vehicles under one roof, compare features, test drive models, and make informed decisions.
The Expo also serves as a platform for local businesses and small vendors. Dealers from remote areas are showcasing their offerings, providing employment opportunities, and promoting local trade. The presence of financiers and banks from across the country ensures easy access to vehicle loans at minimum interest rates, while insurance companies are offering competitive vehicle insurance packages.
