Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026: Mahasamund Student Selected for National Stage

State Sees Massive Participation; Chhattisgarh Records Over 29 Lakh Registrations

TFP Bureau, Raipur, January 20, 2026: The ninth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) 2026 has once again generated immense enthusiasm among students, parents, and teachers across Chhattisgarh. The registration process concluded on January 11, 2026, with the state recording 29.29 lakh registrations, an increase of 7.16 lakh compared to last year, reflecting the growing awareness and interest in the programme.

Chhattisgarh ranked fourth nationwide in total registrations this year, following Andaman and Nicobar, Chandigarh, and Lakshadweep. The rise in parental involvement is particularly notable, with 1.41 lakh parents registering from the state, indicating growing educational awareness among families.

First Phase Selection: 18 Students Chosen from 171 Video Entries

In the first phase of the selection process, district-level entries were invited in the form of videos featuring students’ questions. A total of 171 student videos were received, which were evaluated by a specially constituted committee. After careful review, 18 students were selected and their details forwarded to the central government for further consideration.

The selected students represent various educational backgrounds, including:

  • 4 students from PM Shri Schools
  • 6 students from Swami Atmanand English Medium Schools (SAEMS)
  • 4 students from private schools
  • 3 students from government schools
  • 1 student from Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV)

Kumari Srishti Sahu of Mahasamund Chosen for Delhi Event

The central committee has selected Kumari Srishti Sahu, a Class 12 Mathematics student from Swami Atmanand School, Nayapara, Mahasamund, to participate in the Pariksha Pe Charcha programme in Delhi on January 21, 2026.

Srishti, daughter of Shri Narendra Kumar Sahu and Smt. Dineshvari Sahu, has been praised for her academic discipline and dedication. District Collector Mr. Vinay Kumar Langhe met her and congratulated her on this prestigious achievement.

School Principal Mrs. Ami Rufus expressed pride in Srishti’s success, describing her as a disciplined and hardworking student. She also highlighted Srishti’s leadership qualities, mentioning that she previously served as the school leader on Children’s Day, taking the principal’s chair and demonstrating strong responsibility and confidence.

Family and School Celebrate the Achievement

Srishti’s father serves as a teacher in a government school, while her mother is a homemaker. Both parents expressed deep pride and joy over her selection, calling it a proud moment for the family and the entire Mahasamund district.

The school also acknowledged the combined efforts of teachers and staff in ensuring the successful participation of students in the PPC programme. 100% registration was achieved at the school, and students were provided with regular practice sessions to prepare for the selection process.

Administrative Support and Appreciation

District Education Officer Mr. Vijay Kumar Lahre and the Education Department congratulated Srishti on her selection. District Project Coordinator Mr. Rekhraj Sharma played a key role in completing travel and other arrangements for the student’s trip to Delhi within the stipulated time.

The State Project Office, Samagra Shiksha Raipur, also extended its best wishes to Mahasamund district for this notable achievement.

Next Stage of Selection Underway

The selection process for the upcoming stages of Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 is currently ongoing, and results are awaited. Students and educators across the state are hopeful of further representation in the national event.

This year’s overwhelming response to Pariksha Pe Charcha once again highlights the growing educational awareness in Chhattisgarh and the enthusiasm of students and parents to engage with national platforms for academic excellence.
