Vishnu Deo Sai says Garhphuljhar Nanaksagar will be developed as a major centre of faith and tourism

TFP Bureau, Raipur, March 15,2026: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Sunday attended the Hola Mohalla programme organised at Nanaksagar in the historic Garhphuljhar area of Basna in Mahasamund district, where he paid obeisance at the holy Guru Granth Sahib and prayed for the peace and prosperity of the people of the state.

The Chief Minister participated in the religious rituals and was honoured by members of the Sikh community with a ‘saropa’ as a mark of respect during the programme.

Addressing the gathering, Sai said the sacred land of Garhphuljhar holds special spiritual significance as Guru Nanak Dev had visited the place. He noted that Chhattisgarh has long been a land of saints where many spiritual leaders spread the message of humanity, service and harmony.

He said visiting such sacred sites provides spiritual peace and strengthens social unity. The Chief Minister added that the state government is committed to preserving and developing major religious and pilgrimage centres across Chhattisgarh.

An amount of around ₹2.50 crore has been sanctioned for infrastructure development and related works in the Nanaksagar area.
