FIR Filed Over Alleged Leak of Class 12 Hindi Board Exam Paper

Case registered as precaution after viral social media posts; police and cyber cell begin probe

TFP Bureau,Raipur, March 16,2026: The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) has lodged a First Information Report (FIR) following media reports and social media claims regarding a possible leak of the Class 12 Hindi board examination question paper.

Board officials said the FIR was registered as a precautionary step in view of the seriousness and sensitivity of the examination process. Police and the cyber cell have launched a detailed investigation to ascertain the facts surrounding the allegations.

According to Board Secretary Pushpa Sahu, the Board remains committed to maintaining the confidentiality and transparency of examinations and assured that strict action will be taken in accordance with rules if any irregularities are found.

The Class 12 Hindi board examination conducted by the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education in Raipur was held smoothly on March 14, 2026.

Officials said the Board first received information through social media at around 5 pm on March 15, followed by media reports on March 16 claiming that a handwritten sheet containing questions related to the Hindi subject had gone viral on social media a day before the examination, on March 13.

According to newspaper reports, it was alleged that questions mentioned in the viral sheet resembled those appearing in the Set-B question paper of the Hindi examination. However, authorities said the sheet circulating on social media and reproduced in newspapers is unclear and not legible enough to verify its authenticity.

Clarifying the issue, Sahu said the video or material related to the viral content surfaced only after the examination had concluded.

“Prima facie, it cannot be considered a case of a question paper leak. However, given the sensitivity of the matter, an FIR has been lodged and a detailed investigation is being carried out,” she said.
