Education Department Reshuffles 28 Officers, Appoints New DEOs Across Chhattisgarh

Major administrative overhaul aimed at strengthening governance, improving coordination and ensuring effective implementation of education schemes

TFP Bureau, Raipur, June 10: In a major administrative reshuffle, the Chhattisgarh School Education Department has transferred 28 officers and assigned new responsibilities to District Education Officers (DEOs), Block Education Officers (BEOs), Assistant Directors and Principals across the state.

The transfer orders, issued by the department on Wednesday, are part of a comprehensive exercise aimed at streamlining educational administration, improving coordination and enhancing the implementation of government schemes in the education sector. The orders have come into immediate effect and will remain valid until further instructions.

According to the notification issued by the Under Secretary of the School Education Department, new In-charge District Education Officers have been posted in several districts, including Mahasamund, Raipur, Bilaspur, Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur, Koriya, Baloda Bazar-Bhatapara, Raigarh, Gariaband, Dhamtari, Bemetara, Bijapur, Narayanpur and Balod.

The reshuffle also includes transfers and fresh postings within the Directorate of Public Instruction (DPI), offices of Joint Directors and other key administrative establishments.

Among the prominent appointments, Shri B.L. Dewangan, presently serving as In-charge Deputy Director at the Directorate of Public Instruction, has been posted as the In-charge District Education Officer of Mahasamund. Shri Himanshu Bharatiya, who was serving as In-charge DEO of Raipur, has been transferred to the Directorate of Public Instruction as In-charge Deputy Director.

Assistant Director Shri M.G. Satish Kumar has been entrusted with the responsibility of In-charge District Education Officer, Raipur, while Shri Rameshwar Jaiswal has been appointed as the In-charge DEO of Bilaspur, replacing Shri Vijay Kumar Tande.

The department has also appointed new In-charge DEOs in districts such as Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur, Koriya, Baloda Bazar-Bhatapara, Raigarh, Gariaband, Dhamtari, Bemetara, Bijapur and Narayanpur. Several Block Education Officers and Assistant Directors have been elevated to district-level assignments, while some officers have been posted to divisional and directorate-level offices.

Officials said the administrative restructuring is intended to accelerate departmental functioning, strengthen monitoring mechanisms and ensure more effective implementation of educational programmes and welfare schemes across the state.

The reshuffle is expected to bring significant changes to the functioning of the School Education Department and reinforce administrative efficiency at both district and state levels, particularly ahead of the new academic session and the rollout of key educational initiatives.
