New Web Portal Launched to Bring Private University Information Under One Roof

Governor Ramen Deka inaugurates portal featuring details of courses, fees, academic records, results, faculty, accreditation, placements and research

TFP Bureau, Raipur, September 7, 2026: Governor Ramen Deka on Monday inaugurated a new web portal developed by the Chhattisgarh Private Universities Regulatory Commission, aimed at providing students, parents and other stakeholders with easy access to updated information on private universities across the state.

Governor Deka launched the portal, cgpurc.cgstate.gov.in, at Lok Bhavan by clicking the launch button. V.K. Goyal, Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Private Universities Regulatory Commission, along with members of the Commission, was present on the occasion.

The new portal brings key information related to private universities onto a single digital platform. It will provide details of courses offered under university ordinances, academic calendars, admitted students, marksheets and degrees, besides examination results of previous years.

Information on fees, faculty and research

The portal will also provide information on fees charged by private universities, serving officials, various committees and their members, as well as Ph.D. research supervisors.

Information related to National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, NAAC accreditation, Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), skill development, innovation, startups, job-oriented programmes, campus placements and e-libraries will also be made available.

The digital platform will additionally display information on academic approvals and the status of sanctioned, filled and vacant positions in private universities.

Focus on transparency and monitoring

The initiative is expected to strengthen transparency in the functioning of private universities and make important academic and administrative information readily accessible to students and the public.

The portal will also facilitate more effective monitoring by the regulatory authorities, while enabling stakeholders to obtain verified information without having to approach individual universities separately.

The launch marks a significant step towards greater digital transparency and accountability in the state’s private higher education sector.
