Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh and Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai to attend as Chief Guests
TFP Bureau, Raipur, September 21, 2026: To celebrate the rich cultural heritage and folk traditions of Chhattisgarh, ‘Teej Milan Utsav’ will be organized in Nava Raipur on Tuesday, September 22, 2026. Hosted by Revenue, Disaster Management, Rehabilitation, and Higher Education Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma, the event will take place from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at M-12, Sector-24, Atal Nagar, Nava Raipur.
This gathering is being organised with the objective to preserve and promote traditional Chhattisgarhi festivals. Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh and his wife Smt. Veena Singh, along with Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and his wife Smt. Kaushalya Devi Sai, will be the chief guests on the occasion. Several state ministers, public representatives, and prominent citizens will also attend.
Speaking ahead of the event, Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma said that Chhattisgarh’s traditional festivals are not merely rituals, but the foundation of love, unity, and social harmony. He noted that the celebration of Teej-Tihar is aimed at bringing people together to share the sweetness of local traditions, and connect the younger generation with their cultural roots. The event will feature traditional Chhattisgarhi dishes, folk culture, and customary Teej rituals.
