TFP Bureau, New Delhi, June 6, 2025: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai met with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah in New Delhi on Friday to showcase the remarkable transformation of Bastar. Once synonymous with conflict and fear, Bastar is now emerging as a symbol of digital progress and development.
The Chief Minister highlighted the state’s successful efforts to establish peace and expand connectivity in Bastar, revealing that 64 new forward security camps have been set up over the past 18 months. These camps not only enhanced security but also brought mobile network access to remote areas, with 671 mobile towers activated, including 365 offering 4G services. This digital expansion is opening doors for tribal youth, enabling them to access education and opportunities online from their own villages.
“Mobile towers today represent hope and opportunity,” said Shri Sai. “Where once children had to travel far for education, now they can study online at home. Bastar’s youth are embracing the digital world to build their futures.”
Alongside improved security and connectivity, the government has focused on delivering essential amenities such as electricity, drinking water, healthcare, and education in villages surrounding the camps. Under the Niyad Nellanar scheme, 18 community services and 25 welfare programs are simultaneously implemented in 146 identified villages, ensuring holistic development.

The Chief Minister also briefed the Prime Minister on the success of the recent Su-Shasan Tihar (Good Governance Festival), during which hundreds of grievance redressal camps brought government services directly to the people. Citizens accessed ration cards, pensions, health checkups, school admissions, Ayushman cards, and other benefits—all under one roof, with active involvement from MPs, MLAs, and local officials.
Highlighting environmental initiatives, Shri Sai detailed Chhattisgarh’s water conservation mission designed to combat reduced rainfall—from about 100 rainy days annually to just 65—due to changing climate patterns. The campaign integrates community participation and advanced technology, including GIS mapping and the Jaldoot mobile app, to identify and develop water infrastructure. Women’s groups are at the forefront of restoring ponds and traditional water bodies, ensuring sustainable water resources in rural areas.
Additionally, the Chief Minister presented the Prime Minister with details of the Nalanda Campus, India’s first 24×7 hybrid public library built at a cost of ₹18 crore. The campus features an e-library, youth tower, health zone, and solar-powered facilities, benefiting over 11,000 students, including more than 300 successful UPSC and CGPSC candidates. The Prayas coaching model, offering free preparation for national competitive exams to tribal and underprivileged students, has helped 1,508 students gain admission to prestigious institutions nationwide.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the Chief Minister’s comprehensive development vision and assured full support from the Central Government in furthering Chhattisgarh’s progress.
