TFP Bureau, Raipur, July 21, 2025: The Chhattisgarh government has initiated extensive preparations to mark the state’s Silver Jubilee Year, commemorating 25 years of its formation. A high-level meeting chaired by Additional Chief Secretary Shri Subrat Sahu was held today at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan, with key officials including department heads, divisional commissioners, and district collectors participating via video conferencing.
The Silver Jubilee celebrations will span 25 weeks from August 15, 2025, to February 6, 2026, and will be conducted in two phases: the first from August 15 to October 31, and the second from November 1 to February 6. Every government department will organize weekly programs highlighting their schemes and achievements over the past 25 years.
Additional Chief Secretary Shri Sahu instructed all departments to submit their detailed action plans by August 5 to the Culture Secretary. District collectors were also directed to prepare corresponding plans for district-level activities.
The celebrations will emphasize inclusive participation of the poor, youth, farmers, and women, aiming to foster public pride and patriotism. The events will blend Chhattisgarh’s rich cultural heritage with modern transparency measures, supported by technology.
During the meeting, Culture Secretary Shri Rohit Yadav presented the overall plan for the Silver Jubilee Year, while Public Relations Commissioner Dr. Ravi Mittal stressed the importance of showcasing key departmental accomplishments over the past quarter-century.
Programs will be organized across all administrative levels—from Gram Panchayats to the state level—and will include exhibitions, cultural performances, literary seminars, and motivational events in schools and colleges. Departments have been tasked with appointing officers at state and district levels to ensure smooth execution.
With a strong focus on community engagement and celebration of the state’s journey, the Silver Jubilee Year promises to be a vibrant showcase of Chhattisgarh’s heritage and progress.
