TFP Bureau, Raipur, December 11, 2025: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that the Gayatri Mantra “energises, refines, and elevates human life”, as he participated in the grand 251-Kundi Gayatri Mahayagya held in Hasoud village of Sakti district on Thursday. Describing the event as a powerful expression of “spiritual unity, social harmony, and cultural pride”, he said the massive Mahayagya—performed simultaneously at 251 sacred altars—had given “a new height to Chhattisgarh’s spiritual identity”.
The Mahayagya, organised in the revered land of Maa Mahamaya, witnessed participation from thousands of devotees, Gayatri Pariwar members, and spiritual leaders from across the country. During the ceremony, Dr. Chinmay Pandya, Vice Chancellor of Dev Sanskriti University, Shantikunj Haridwar, felicitated the Chief Minister and presented him with a letter of appreciation.
‘Sanatan culture has regained global prominence’
Addressing the gathering, CM Shri Sai said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Indian spiritual traditions have gained renewed recognition worldwide. Citing the construction of the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya after five centuries and the transformation of the Kashi Vishwanath Dham, he said these milestones have strengthened Sanatan heritage.
He also noted that Chhattisgarh holds a special place in the Ramayana tradition as the maternal home of Mata Kaushalya, mother of Lord Shri Ram. The state government, he said, is implementing various welfare schemes for the uplift of all communities and added that over 38,000 devotees have visited Ayodhya under the Ramlala Darshan Yojana.
Emphasising the spiritual depth of the Gayatri Mantra, the Chief Minister said its 24 syllables symbolise “24 distinct powers and spiritual achievements” that inspire moral strength, clarity, and divine wisdom.
140 couples blessed under Kanya Vivah Yojana
As part of the programme, the Chief Minister blessed 140 newly married couples who were ceremonially wedded under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana. He extended warm wishes to the couples for a prosperous and harmonious life and reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting the marriages of daughters from financially weaker families.
Prayers at the sacred Jaitkham
During his visit, Shri Sai also reached the Jaitkham in Hasoud and performed rituals with full traditional rites. He prayed for “peace, prosperity, well-being, and continuous development” for the people of Chhattisgarh.
He invoked the teachings of Baba Guru Ghasidas, highlighting the guiding principles of truth, non-violence, equality, and social harmony. He said the message of “Mankhe-Mankhe Ek Saman” continues to inspire the vision of a united and progressive Chhattisgarh and urged citizens to uphold these values in their daily lives.
The event was attended by Minister for Skill Development and Technical Education Guru Khushwant Saheb, public representatives, members of the Akhil Vishwa Gayatri Pariwar, and a large congregation of devotees.
